kaṭvamlalavaṇaistulyāṃs tathā pittaguṇānviduḥ | madhuraṃ lavaṇāmlau ca vidyāt kaphasamān rasān ||

Likewise, they know [tastes] equal to the qualities of bile through the pungent, sour, and salty; / one should know the sweet, salty, and sour as tastes equal to phlegm.
