gajenoṣṭreṇa vā gacchan yaḥ paśyeddakṣiṇāṃ diśam | jīvet tu rogī saptāhaṃ, nīrogaḥ śaradāṃ śatam ||
He who, traveling on an elephant or camel, looks toward the southern quarter: / a sick man would live for a week, a healthy one for a hundred autumns.
