doṣadvayena saṃsṛṣṭāḥ sarve gulmāḥ pramāthinaḥ | tasmāt teṣāṃ bhedanīyāḥ kriyāssarvāḥ prayojayet | atyarthaṃ snihyamāno ' pi gulmo vṛddhim avāpnuyāt ||

All gulmas combined with two humors are churning. / Therefore, one should apply all breaking treatments to them; / yet even when excessively unctuated, a gulma may attain increase.
