hiraṇyākṣastu netyāha na hyātmā rasajaḥ smṛtaḥ /
nātīndriyaṃ manaḥ santi rogāḥ śabdādijāstathā //
Hiraṇyākṣa said “No; for the self is not remembered as born of rasa, / nor is the mind beyond the senses [born of rasa], and there are diseases born of sound and the like.
