eṣāṃ khalvapareṣāṃ ca vairodhikanimittānāṃ vyādhīnāmime bhāvāḥ pratikārā bhavanti /
tadyathā vamanaṃ virecanaṃ ca tadvirodhināṃ ca dravyāṇāṃ saṃśamanārthamupayogaḥ tathāvidhaiśca dravyaiḥ pūrvamabhisaṃskāraḥ śarīrasyeti //

Indeed, for these and other diseases arising from incompatible [food], the following are the remedies: / namely, emesis and purgation, the use of substances contrary to those [incompatible foods] for the sake of pacification, and prior conditioning of the body with such substances.
