viruddhāśanajān rogān pratihanti vivecanam /
vamanaṃ śamanaṃ caiva pūrvaṃ vā hitasevanam //

And on this [subject] there are [two verses]: / Purgation counteracts diseases born of consuming incompatible food, / as do emesis, pacification, or prior habituation to wholesome substances.
