nimittatastu kṣīṇavṛddhānāṃ prasādākhyānāṃ dhātūnāṃ vṛddhikṣayābhyāmāhāramūlābhyāṃ rasaḥ sāmyamutpādayatyārogyāya kiṭṭaṃ ca malānāmevameva /

Depending on specific causes, however, for bodily tissues known as essences that have decreased or increased, through an increase or decrease rooted in food, nutrient essence brings about equilibrium for health, and waste [does] just the same for excretions.
