tasyopaghātānmūrcchāyaṃ bhedānmaraṇamṛcchati /
yadhi tat sparśavijñānaṃ dhāri tattatra saṃśritam //
From injury to it comes fainting, and from its rupture one meets death;
for that which is the perception of touch, the sustaining [principle], is stationed there.
