ādānadurbale dehe paktā bhavati durbalaḥ /
sa varṣāsvanilādīnāṃ dūṣaṇairbādhyate punaḥ //
When the body is weakened by the debilitating period, the digestive fire becomes weak;
moreover, in varṣā, it is afflicted again by the vitiation of wind and the other [doṣas].
