bhūbāṣpānmeghanisyandāt pākādamlājjalasya ca /
varṣāsvagnibale kṣīṇe kupyanti pavanādayaḥ //
From the vapors of the earth, rainfall from clouds, and the sour transformation of water,
wind and the other [doṣas] become aggravated in varṣā when the strength of the digestive fire has dwindled.
