evaṃvādinaṃ bhagavantamātreyamagniveśa uvāca---uddhṛtāni khalu bhagavan! bhaiṣajyāni, samyagvihitāni, *samyagavacāritāni ca; api tu khalu janapadoddhvaṃsanamekenaiva vyādhinā yugapadasamānaprakṛtyāhāradehabalasātmyasattvavayasāṃ manuṣyāṇāṃ kasmādbhavatīti//

To the venerable Ātreya who was speaking thus, Agniveśa said: "Medicines are indeed gathered, venerable one, properly prepared, and properly administered; but why does the destruction of a community occur through a single disease at the same time among men of dissimilar constitution, diet, body, strength, suitability, mind, and age?"
