4.2.29

bījātmakarmāśayakāladoṣairmātustathā++āhāravihāradoṣaiḥ/
kurvanti doṣā vividhāni duṣṭāḥ saṃsthānavarṇendriyavaikṛtāni//

Through defects of the seed, the karma of the self, the womb, and the season, as well as through defects of the mother's diet and regimen,
the vitiated doshas produce diverse deformities of shape, complexion, and sense organs.
