bhūtāni mātāpitṛsaṃbhavāni rajaścaśukraṃ ca vadanti garbhe/
āpyāyyate śukramasṛk ca bhūtairyaistāni bhūtāni rasodbhavāni//

The elements originating from the mother and father are stated to be the menstrual blood and semen in the embryo;
those elements by which semen and blood are nourished are the elements originating from chyle.
