The Compendium of Caraka 4.2.41

4.2.41

dharmyāḥ kriyā harṣanimittamuktāstato 'anyathā śokavaśaṃ nayanti/
śarīrasattvaprabhavāstu rogāstayoravṛttyā na bhavanti bhūyaḥ//

Righteous actions are said to be the cause of joy; contrary to that, they lead under the power of sorrow;
and diseases arising from the body and the mind do not occur again through the non-recurrence of the two.
