ṣaḍdhātavaḥ samuditāḥ 'puruṣa'iti śabdaṃ labhante; tadyathā---pṛthivyāpastejo vāyurākāśaṃ brahma cāvyaktamiti, eta eva ca ṣaḍdhātavaḥ samuditāḥ 'puruṣa' iti śabdaṃ labhante//

Six elements combined receive the designation 'man'; namely: earth, water, fire, wind, ether, and unmanifest Brahman. These very six elements combined receive the designation 'man'.
