tadeva tasmādbheṣajaṃ samyagavacāryāmāṇaṃ yugapannyūnātiriktānāṃ dhātūnāṃ sāmyakaraṃ bhavati, adhikamapakarṣati nyūnamāpyāyayati//

Therefore, that very medicine, when properly administered, simultaneously brings about equilibrium among deficient and excessive bodily constituents: it reduces the excessive and nourishes the deficient.
