Once the foreign body of the embryo is removed, one should first make the woman with an unformed embryo drink any of surā, sīdhu, ariṣṭa, madhu, madirā, or āsava according to her strength, for cleansing the womb-cavity, for forgetting the pain, and for cheering [her]; after this, one should treat her with gruels and the like, or with foods appropriate for that time, which are nourishing, protect strength, and are uncombined with unctuous substances, for just the time it takes to dry up the moisture of the doṣas and tissues.
