yo rasānna vijānāti na vā jānāti tattvataḥ/
mukhapākādṛte pakvaṃ tamāhuḥ kuśalā naram//
He who does not recognize tastes, or does not recognize them as they truly are,
in the absence of stomatitis, the skilled declare that man to be ripe [for death].
