&indriyāṇāmṛte dṛṣṭerindriyārthānadoṣajān/
naraḥ paśyati yaḥ kaścidindriyairna sa jīvati//
Apart from visual perception by the senses, whatever man perceives
objects of the senses with other senses without a morbidity—he does not live.
