bāhyāstvaco dūṣayitā 'abhighātaḥ &kāṣṭhāśmaśastrāgniviṣāyasādyaiḥ/
āgantuhetuḥ trividho nijaśca sarvārdhagātrāvayavāśritatvāt//
External trauma that vitiates the skin by wood, stone, weapon, fire, poison, iron, and the like / is the accidental cause; and the innate is threefold, from being localized in the whole, in half, or in a part of the body.
