yo dantamāṃseṣu tu raktapittāt pāko bhavet sopakuśaḥ pradiṣṭaḥ/
syāddantavidradhyapi dantamāṃse śophaḥ kaphācchoṇitasaṃcayotthaḥ//
The suppuration that occurs in the gums from raktapitta is declared to be upakuśa; / there may also be dantavidradhi, a swelling in the gums arising from kapha and an accumulation of blood.
