&nivārayedādita eva yatnādvidhānavit svasvavidhiṃ vidhāya/
tataḥ krameṇāsya yathāvidhānaṃ vraṇaṃ vraṇajñastvarayā cikitset//
Should ward it off right from the start with effort, the knower of procedures having performed the respective procedure; / then, in due course and according to the rules, the knower of wounds should treat his wound with dispatch.
