6.12.97

virecanaṃ caiṣaṇapāṭanaṃ ca viśuddhamārgasya ca tailadāhaḥ/
syāt kṣārasūtreṇa &supācitena chinnasya cāsya vraṇavaccikitsā//

Purgation, probing, and incision, and cauterization with oil of the purified tract [are indicated]; / and when cut by means of a well-prepared medicated alkali-cord (kṣārasūtra), its treatment should be like a wound.
