dīpanaṃ rocanaṃ varṇyaṃ kaphavātānulomanam/
gudaśvayathukaṇḍvartināśanaṃ balavardhanam//
iti takrāriṣṭaḥ/
tvacaṃ citrakamūlasya piṣṭvā kumbhaṃ pralepayet/
takraṃ vā dadhi vā tatra jātamarśoharaṃ pibet//

It stimulates digestion, improves taste, enhances complexion, promotes downward movement of kapha and vāta, / destroys rectal swelling, itching, and pain, and increases strength.
Thus ends takrāriṣṭa.
Having ground the bark of citraka root, one should coat a pot with it; / the buttermilk or curd that forms therein, which destroys hemorrhoids, he should drink.
