kṣayakāsena tu tulyā kṣayatṛṣṇā sā garīyasī nṝṇām/
kṣīṇakṣataśoṣahitaistasmāttāṃ bheṣajaiḥ śamayet//
Thirst from wasting, being equal to wasting-cough, is very severe in people; / therefore, one should soothe it with remedies beneficial for the emaciated, chest-injured, and consumed.
