śīghraṃ vyavāyibhāvādāśu vyāpnoti kevalaṃ deham/
tīkṣṇatvānmarmaghnaṃ prāṇaghnaṃ tadvikāsitvāt//
It quickly and swiftly pervades the entire body owing to its diffusing nature; / because of sharpness, it strikes the vital spots; because of depression, it takes life.
