sa vṛddhiṃ balakālaṃ ca prāpya doṣastṛtīyakam/
caturthakaṃ ca kurute pratyanīkabalakṣayāt//
Having attained increase and the time of its strength, the doṣa causes tertian / and quartan [fever] owing to the decline in strength of its opposing factor.
