eṣa kaṣāyaḥ sādhyo dattvā dvipalaṃ masūravidalānām/
salilāḍhake 'aṣṭabhage śeṣe pūto raso grāhyaḥ//
this decoction should be prepared after adding two palas of split lentils / in an āḍhaka of water; when an eighth part remains, the strained liquid should be taken.
