sarvastridoṣajo yakṣmā doṣāṇāṃ tu balābalam/
parīkṣyāvāsthikaṃ vaidyaḥ śoṣiṇaṃ samupācaret//
Yakṣmā is always born of the three doṣas; but having examined the relative strength
of the doṣas according to stage, the physician should treat the emaciated patient.
