samudbhramaṃ buddhimanaḥsmṛtīnāmunmādamāgantunijotthamāhuḥ/
tasyodbhavaṃ pañcavidhaṃ pṛthak tu vakṣyāmi liṅgāni cikitsitaṃ ca//
They declare insanity to be a wandering of intellect, mind, and memory, arising from extrinsic causes or intrinsic ones; / its fivefold origin, its symptoms separately, and its treatment I will declare.
