nivṛttāmiṣamadyo yo hitāśī prayataḥ śuciḥ/
nijāgantubhirunmādaiḥ sattvavān na sa yujyate//
He who has abstained from meat and wine, eats wholesome food, is self-restrained and clean, / and is endowed with mental strength, is not afflicted by intrinsic or extrinsic insanities.
