atha khalu &vamanavirecanārhtaṃ vamanavirecanadravyāṇāṃ sukhopabhogatamaiḥ sahānyairdravyairvividhaiḥ kalpanārthaṃ - bhedārthaṃ vibhāgārthaṃ &cetyarthaḥ, tadyogānāṃ ca kriyāvidheḥ sukhopāyasya samyagupakalpanārthaṃ kalpasthānamupadekṣyāmo 'agniveśa!//

Now then, O Agniveśa, for the purpose of emesis and purgation, for the formulation of emetic and purgative substances together with other various substances that are most pleasant to consume—meaning for the purpose of division and classification—and for the proper preparation of comfortable measures for the procedure of their formulations, we shall teach the Section on Formulation (Kalpasthāna).
