snehapākastridhā jñeyo mṛdurmadhyaḥ kharastathā/
tulye kalkena niryāse bheṣajānāṃ mṛduḥ smṛtaḥ//
The cooking of unctuous substance should be known as threefold: mild, medium, and hard; / when the extract of the drugs is equal to the paste, it is remembered as mild.
