3.3.38.22

lūtāmabhyañjane hanti gaṇḍamālāśca dāruṇām
ghṛtaṃ jātyādikaṃ nāma tathā cātra prayojayet

Just as fire whose fuel is burnt out [subsides], just as poison having destroyed the bodily tissues [ceases], / so fever, having accomplished its aim by destroying the body, attains peace.
