parāṃ vinītaḥ samupaiti sevyatāṃ
mahīpatīnāṃ vinayo vibhūṣaṇaṃ
pravṛttadāno mṛdusañcaratkaraḥ
karīva bhadro vinayena śobhate
A disciplined king attains the highest devotion of his subjects; / discipline is the ornament of rulers of the earth; / like a noble elephant exuding temporal rut with gently moving trunk, / he shines with discipline.
