prāyaścitte tu carite pūrṇakumbham apāṃ navam
tenaiva sārdhaṃ prāsyeyuḥ snātvā puṇye jalāśaye //
And (if he be the eldest) his right of primogeniture shall be withheld and the additional share, due to the eldest son; and his stead a younger brother, excelling in virtue, shall obtain the share of the eldest.
