ya āvṛṇoty avitathaṃ brahmaṇā śravaṇāv ubhau
sa mātā sa pitā jñeyas taṃ na druhyet kadā cana //
That (man) who truthfully fills both his ears with the Veda, (the pupil) shall consider as his father and mother; he must never offend him.
