sarasvatīdṛśadvatyor devanadyor yad antaram
taṃ devanirmitaṃ deśaṃ brahmāvartaṃ pracakṣate //

That land, created by the gods, which lies between the two divine rivers Sarasvati and Drishadvati, the (sages) call Brahmavarta.
