taṃ ced abhyudiyāt sūryaḥ śayānaṃ kāmacārataḥ
nimloced vāpy avijñānāj japann upavased dinam //
If the sun should rise or set while he is sleeping, be it (that he offended) intentionally or unintentionally, he shall fast during the (next) day, muttering (the Savitri).
