striyāṃ tu rocamānāyāṃ sarvaṃ tad rocate kulaṃ
tasyāṃ tv arocamānāyāṃ sarvam eva na rocate //
If the wife is radiant with beauty, the whole house is bright; but if she is destitute of beauty, all will appear dismal.
