ācāryaṃ svam upādhyāyaṃ pitaraṃ mātaraṃ gurum
nirhṛtya tu vratī pretān na vratena viyujyate //

A student does not break his vow by carrying out (to the place of cremation) his own dead teacher (akarya), sub-teacher (upadhyaya), father, mother, or Guru.
