brāhmaṃ prāptena saṃskāraṃ kṣatriyeṇa yathāvidhi
sarvasyāsya yathānyāyaṃ kartavyaṃ parirakṣaṇam //
A Kshatriya, who has received according to the rule the sacrament prescribed by the Veda, must duly protect this whole (world).
