rakṣitaṃ vardhayec caiva vṛddhaṃ pātreṣu nikṣipet //
Let him strive to gain what he has not yet gained; what he has gained let him carefully preserve; let him augment what he preserves, and what he has augmented let him bestow on worthy men.
