anyākṣaraniveśena anyārthagamanena ca /
ākulaṃ ca kriyādānaṃ kriyā caivākulā bhavet //
Where different words are (subsequently) inserted (in the plaint), and where the sense becomes different (in consequence), there the judicial investigation becomes confused, and the evidence itself is thrown into confusion.
