na prācīmagrataḥ śambhornodocīṃ śaktisaṃsthitām |
na pratīcīṃ yataḥ pṛṣṭhamato dakṣaṃ samāśrayet || yajamānaḥ |
śambhoḥ prācīmavasthito yajanaṃ na samāśrayet |
“Not east, which is before Śambhu; not north, where Śakti is stationed; / not west, since that is the back; therefore the sacrificer should resort to the south.” / Residing to the east of Śambhu, one should not undertake the sacrifice.
