having dismissed [the deities] with "Rise, go, O gods!", having handed [the remainder] into the hand of the preceptor, having worshipped the fire and dismissed it with "Go, go!", having had the propitiatory rite recited together with the Brahmins, having fed three Brahmins or one each, or according to his ability, for the pleasure of the planets and the deities beginning with Śikhin, and having received their blessings, he should eat together with his friends. Having performed the propitiatory rite for the dwelling in this manner on the first day, he should make the house entrance on the second day. 19
