Garga in the Adbhutasāgara: / “Occultation (chādana), obstruction (rodhana), blocking of rays (raśmirodhana), / and passing to the left (apasavya)—the war of planets is said to be fourfold. / This does not apply to the moon and the sun, / but to the others, / because it is stated: ‘Wars among the five star-planets are described due to conjunction.’ / Likewise: / ‘A planet that, on encountering another planet, becomes very dark, / clearly suffers defeat, and trembles repeatedly.’ / Its results are not described here for fear of prolixity.”
