1.10

dvyaparāhṇavyāpinī ced ābdikasya yadā tithiḥ | mahatī yatra tadviddhāṃ praśasanti maharṣayaḥ

If the tithi of the annual rite extends over two afternoons, / the great sages praise that [day] which is conjoined with it when it is greater.

When the lunar day of the annual śrāddha covers the afternoon on two days, the great seers commend the one joined with the greater (part).
