pāte mātur yathāmāsaṃ pitrādīnāṃ dinatrayam
Upon miscarriage, [the impurity] of the mother corresponds to the number of months; for the father and others, it is three days.
On a miscarriage, the mother (is impure) for as many days as months, the father and the rest for three days.
