nāmantraṇaṃ na homaś ca nāvāhanavisarjane | na piṇḍadānaṃ na surān nitye kuryād dvijottamaḥ

No formal invitation, no oblation into fire, no invocation and dismissal, / no offering of rice-balls, and no [mention of] gods should the best of twice-born make in the daily [ancestral rite].

In the daily śrāddha the twice-born should make no invitation, no oblation, no invocation or dismissal, no rice-ball, and (no rite for) the gods.
